Before the pies get made and the turkey sings it's swan song, I have to show you just a few quilts from out last meeting...

Looks like somebody forgot to clean her camera lens!  These are just some of the blocks that Neva gets for her black and white quilt.  Yours truly made the flying geese in the top left corner...most of the points match, which is why I'm pointing it out - they so seldom do!  Barbara made the block bottom left - it's worth mentioning because of those loooong skinny triangles - what a lot of work!  Stephanie continues to make Dresden blocks for everyone - again, what a lot of work!  And the block on the bottom right is Helen's, who claimed those stars were buggars...but such cute buggars!

The title of this post should really be Kareena's quilts, because she is the only one who brought quilts to show at our meeting!  Here's the first one - made from a panel and quilted with wool batting, it's very soft and the panel/skeleton glows in the dark!

Kareena is now 11 months ahead for Halloween!  Kind of creepy!  That's little Jacob, (Denise's grandson who made a special guest appearance at our meeting - and never made a peep!) who is definitely thinking that quilt is a bit creepy.  Not to worry Jacob, grandma will protect you!

 

Seahawks rule in Seattle, even when they don't win (but they killed San Fran Sunday so they are still in the hunt!)  This quilt also has wool batting - it's got such a nice weight and feel to it.  Kareena fussy-cut all of those blocks...she might be going for Super Fan Status!

 

This quilt top was a show stopper!  We all oohed and aahed...because first of all, it's huge!  What you don't see in this picture are the green and blue stripes that are at the top and bottom of this top.  Kareena enlarged the Seahawks logo and the Seattle skyline onto fabric and then pieced around them.  It's really wonderful, if you're a Seahawks fan or not.

The mister would love this quilt - too bad it's for someone else!  And too bad the mister's wife won't make one for him!

Yep, Kareena is definitely going for Super Fan Status!
