Would you believe I forgot to take pictures?!?  Dear friends and family gathered around the table, laughing, talking, feasting and not ONE picture!!!  I don't know what came over me -  beside the clouded vision and diminished cognitive function due to over-indulgence!  After the food was on the table, after the feast and festivities, I finally remembered my camera and took ONE picture...

After dinner a friend called with an orthodontic emergency...The orthodontist at our table was informed a patient would be arriving stat...a scalpel and sponges were set aside.  (Thanks to the TV show Grey's Anatomy for my extensive medical knowledge!)  Another of our guests, a dentist with the ability to do anesthesia, was asked to assist if needed...everyone else was waiting to scrub in and/or act as witnesses if needed in a future legal action.  The operatory was set-up along with all of the necessary implements (darning needle, tweezers and needle-nose pliers) and then the moment arrived...the patient took to the chair, the orthodontist adjusted the light, the crowd moved in for a closer view...and the dentist stood by ready to assist.  I am happy to report that no anesthesia was used, no blood was spilled, no tears were shed... the surgery was a complete success!  The crowd broke into a rousing applause and only after all was said and done did the patient ask if the tools had been sterilized...no need I replied, I last used the tweezers on Caesar Beezer the Wonder Dog and everyone knows a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's!

Our Thanksgiving was fantastic - great friends and family and a feast fit for king and his entire kingdom.  Plus an oral surgery.  It just doesn't get any better than that!
