When we began our gift exchange, you know the one, where someone opens a gift and then the next person can open another gift or steal the one that was opened?? Well, I started to write down who opened what and who made what and then when the stealing began I lost my mind. The gifts this year were all beautiful and we were all so lucky to be able to hold them in our little hands, if only briefly!
The fabulous Seahawks bag was the first gift to be opened...and when I saw it I thought it was a quilt as Kareena, who made this, is the queen of Seahawks quilts! Jenny opened this gift and sat with it on her lap for the remainder of our exchange, but since she was the first to open she also got to go last...and lucky me, she came and grabbed what I had opened and gave me this bag! It's so beautifully sewn as Kareena is a perfectionist and I will love it for years and games to come!
This was the gift I took, a felt, wool and flannel pillow. It was stolen until it was declared dead and I think it went home with Deborah. I loved working on this, while watching Hallmark Christmas movies, of course!
This beautiful felted wool table runner was made by Stephanie or maybe it was purchased by Stephanie from the Senior Center in Duvall? It's her new hangout and they apparently have a great gift shop! I think this went home with Kareena.
Terry made this framed wool stitchery and Janet opened it but I'm not sure if she was able to keep it or not...it was pretty amazing as Terry is the master in all things but especially handwork!
You've seen this before as Jenny showed it to us last month. She started with a kit but embellished it up and made it into something super cute! Maybe this went home with Barbara???
These wonderful "bowls" were made by Mary and I think Janet opened them - both of them beautifully stitched. We all agreed we need a class on how to make these - hope Mary heard us!
Look at this box of goodies!!! The framed snowman picture would have been plenty if you ask me! Now this is where I lost it, Janet ended up with this, but she also picked the baskets, so someone stole something - actually almost everything Janet opened was stolen from her! I think Barbara brought this sweet gift.
Okay, this is a stretch but I think Marsha opened this and Helen made it? Yes? I suppose it doesn't really matter, it's just dang cute and whoever got it is thrilled!
Alright now I know I've screwed things up because Helen DID make this...we all recognized the truck fabric that Helen bought gobs of but ended up not liking it...looks great here!
Look closely and you'll see one green fabric box and an open fabric box - by pulling the strings and wrapping around the ends the flat fabric goes into a container - how cool is that?!? Made by Terry...maybe. I have no idea!
Hey I know who made these!!! Marsha sewed up these cute bags and then stuffed them full of good things! I think Janet went home with them...possibly. Super cute Marsha!
Denise stitched this and then found the perfect mat and frame! Maybe Terry took this home...or it's entirely possible that Marsha did!
That's it for our gift exchange - weren't they all so amazing?!?! We are SO lucky! I have a few more things to show you so don't leave just yet...these cookies were made by Jenny - she brought them for us so we could take a bite and have our eyes roll back into our heads...perfectly beautiful anise flavored cookies - they melted into our mouths...thank you Jenny!
Kareena is making this Washington Huskies quilt for a friend - it's so nice and she used the Husky colors so her friend is sure to love it. She brought it to give to Terry so it could be quilted but we insisted on having a look!
This is a chair cushion that is part of a set in Stephanie's very artsy home. She gave her kids/grandkids Sharpies and had them decorate her chairs...now isn't that amazing?!?! I think I'm going to have to pinch this idea!
I'm going to leave you with a picture of Helen's latest creation - her Christmas tree and stars quilt. Once again she has sewn together a bit of Christmas magic with her use of colors and simple designs...you just know the Elves are wondering how she does it as much as I am! Love this Helen...and all of the wonderful gifts this year! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and are enjoying these last few days of 2019!
