We had gals on vacation, moving & sick...so it was a very small group at our monthly meeting...with a very small showing of quilts! Some of these you've seen before - we like to show our quilts when the top/flimsy is completed and then again when it's finished/quilted...one can never get enough of a good thing!
This is Helen's finished quilt - I think we've seen this one before but it's worth a second look!
This is another quilt by Helen, her latest and she said she used a pattern!!! Well, not really, she started with a pattern then threw it out the window and added her own touches - like the square in the middle of the block. This is bright and scrap-happy and she used all polka-dotted fabrics!
We saw this quilt before, too, it was made by Marsha as a raffle quilt for the Tri For Parkinson's race this coming Saturday...it's not too late to get in on the fun...every donation gets an entry for the quilt! Click on the link for more details! This quilt has a black binding that will be sewn onto it...Marsha will have it finished soon!
Of all the zig-zag quilts I've seen, I have to say I like this one the best...mainly because the zigs and zags blend - one doesn't stand out over the other and I love the colors in this quilt - Stephanie did a great job!
Cute sandals! This amazing and HUGE quilt was made by Janet. I think she said her husband picked the fabrics - obviously he is NOT color-blind - these fabrics/colors are great! Look at that pieced border! I thought the blocks were set on point - not so! This is a 16 patch with a pin wheel...how easy is that?! Love it!
One last quilt and this one is mine! It's finally finshed after two years! I used a lot of vintage fabrics in this beauty and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Finishing this quilt got me inspired to start working on some Christmas gifts...I just might be ready for Christmas early this year!
That's it...not a lot of quilts but it sure was fun!
