Marsha of Sunshine Marsha humbled me. A while back she emailed and asked if it would be alright with me if she "copied" one of my quilts. I nearly broke out in song. I could not respond fast enough and tried desperately not to blather on about feeling honored, because she wasn't copying me personally, she was copying a quilt - but she might as well have said, "I think you're the most fantastic person on the planet and I want to be you," because that's how I felt! Delusions have always been one of my strengths. Pictured below is my red and white pinwheel quilt, the one Marsha liked:
This quilt is one of my very favorites - and it's been loved into submission - meaning it's one of the softest quilts I own as it is used (and abused) constantly and it seems I'm always washing and drying it - but it just get better and better with use.
This is Marsha's quilt. (She sent me a pic that had already been sized - wish I could have made it larger for you to see the details!) Her workmanship is lovely - and if you click here, you can read more about her quilt.
Marsha's Flying Peppermint Pinwheel Quilt is a bit larger than my quilt - hers measures 60 x 70-inches, making it the perfect size to wrap up in.
Thanks Marsha, you made my day! I love your quilt and you for being inspired by something I made - to my knowledge that's never happened before!
Note to self: I must get myself a clothesline to hang my quilts on...and a little blue sky in the background would be nice, too!
