We're all ready for the whatever ghosts or goblins come our way...the mister will be parked in front of the TV as usual, in his costume...this year he's going to be an old man in his pajamas. I will don my witches hat at the stroke of dark in anticipation of my annual ding-dong-ditching. This year I will have a few helpers, newbies, who I will be able to train in the fine art of leaving treats on halloween without getting caught...it's not for sissies. First rule, if you get caught, you're on your own...I do not believe in "leave no man behind" when it comes to ding-dong-ditching! Should be a howling good time...
Just the usual crappola at the Slaughterhouse this year...I do love my plastic witch and ghost - nothing says Halloween better than plastic! The boy asked if he could please get on the roof so he could jump down to scare the children when they walked up...he asks this every year...so this time I said, Sure, knock yourself out! Not to worry, he's got some kind of back issue and he can barely climb the stairs let alone get on the roof! But it made him smile to think about it!
Venom, the boy's favorite halloween find, waits patiently in the porch rocker for his first victim...and inside I have a new Halloween friend, a gift from Lori, he lights up and everything! Caesar-Beezer-The-Wonder-Dog is pictured on the right - he's a bit frightened of the new creature with the pumpkin head...keeps barking at him when he's lit up!
Just a few of my potions...I'm always willing to share my recipes if you're in need for something to cure what ails you...sinus headaches? Take a few strands from my jar of Hair of the Dog, The Dead Dog...you won't be needing any more tissues. Pain in your side? Perhaps a swig of Swamp Cider will put you at ease...or at the very least in an altered state! Hitch in your giddy-up? No worries, just a few drops of desicated chicken feces, in that lovely jar with the skull and bones on it should get you going in no time! Call me, we'll talk.
Happy Halloween from the Slaughterhouse! Be sure to come back tomorrow because I'm going to share the best dish I had to eat in France!! The chef who created it spent an hour telling me all of his secrets!! It alone was worth the flight over and back!
