Hey guess what? I'm guest blogging AGAIN over at Stash Manicure today! And I offered up a giveaway of sorts!!
New Years Day we had black-eyed peas for good luck and then we took down Christmas! Which seems very oxymoronic to me! Taking down Christmas BEFORE the Twelve Days of Christmas are OVER is the same as poking a bear, surely nothing good can come from it! I don't know what got into me but all weekend long I packed and stuffed and loaded up every bit of tinsel, garland and red and green...it's sooo over!! (Just so you know, Christmas has never been taken down this early - it's usually up and going strong until at least January 15th! The mister kept asking me if I felt okay, heck NO I didn't feel okay! But I was a woman possessed!) I continued my cleaning rampage into my workroom...cleaning, tossing, and yes, even dusting! I ended up with a huge pile of trash, a larger pile to donate and a large box stuffed with STASH!!!
Sew...during my de-hoarding blitzkreig I had an epiphany, what if I GAVE my unwanted STASH away?!? What if it became a TRAVELING STASH?!? Suddenly my glum mood vanished and I began envisioning a movie based on the Traveling Stash! Stranger things have happened! I now have one large flat-rate USPS box stuffed to the breaking point with unwanted treasures...that's what I'm offering! That's my GIVEAWAY!! Woo-Hoooooo!
Here's the deal...go to Stash Manicure and read my post, then if you'd like a chance to play along, leave me your name and email in the comment section of my post over at Stash. Tomorrow, January 4th, after 6:00 PST, I will pick a name using Random Generator and the winner will receive my STASH! (I will post the winner's name on my blog, not on Stash Manicure.) She (or he) will then have the opportunity to go through it, keep what they want and then add their OWN unwanted stash to the box and send it on to a quilting pal...IF you enter you MUST be willing to SEND the Traveling STASH ON!! Sew, whaddya say? Do you want to play? The Traveling Stash could go on and on and on to infinity and beyond! Head on over to Stash Manicure NOW!
I have no idea how much fabric is in this box, obviously I need to get a larger box! But there's at least 10 yards of fabric, not including one MODA Jelly Roll and one large pile of Hawaiian fabric squares with a coordinating smaller bunch of squares, plus a bag of buttons, pom-poms, ric-rac and a pin-cushion pin...and that's just for starters! Since this is the inaugural voyage of the Traveling Stash I may just use a larger box than mentioned above...so I can include some of my books and patterns as well! It feels good to unburden myself...now that I have a clean workroom it's time for me to get in there and mess it all up! Happy Clean Workrooms to us All!
