Little Miss Em turned 13 and so to celebrate her birthday I gave her a money tree because every little girl needs to believe that money grows on trees!
Of course, I did attach a few jewels because nothing goes better with money than jewelry - and every little girl needs to have jewelry! Oh don't think I'm all fluff...I do think it's important to not only send well wishes but a few words of advice, so I told Emily the Facts of Life, as I know them:
1. Santa Claus is real as long as you believe.
2. The Tooth Fairy is really a gay man who collects teeth.
3. Mother Nature plays favorites.
4. Father Time will get you in the end.
5. The Gospel is true.
6. Money grows on trees...as long as you plant the right seeds. Money Seeds are not hard to find, you just need a good education to figure out what they are; hard work and dedication to nurture them and a bit of luck so they'll grow strong. In lieu of all that, marry a man with money.
