We had tickets to see The Eagles this past Thursday night...had been looking forward to it, too...and then they POSTPONED the concert - said someone was sick...well, excuse me, but at THEIR age someone is always going to be sick - couldn't they have taken an extra dose of embalming fluid and still performed?!? Now we might not be able to go...anyone want to buy two Eagles tickets for May 26th? Only $185 EACH!!! (Yeah, we still have the SUCKER tattoos on our foreheads.) We did stick to OUR schedule - went to dinner on the pier with friends...expected to sit in the sun and have a fabulous view of the water but instead, this is what we got:
The blasted ship blocked our view of the water AND the sun and prompted everyone to say "how fun it would be to go on a cruise!" I've made it abundantly clear how I feel about cruise ships...and they all know it - but for a refresher, click here. When we got home the mister looked up the Sapphire Princess and said it is the 5th largest ship in the world...951 feet long. (Just one of the many reasons the Deep Sea Gods would want to capture it!) It had some jet engine-looking things on the top of it and the mister couldn't figure out what they were - thought they might be "thrusters"...I'd like to thruster him right out the window...now HE'S trying to talk me into a cruise!!!
As you can see - it's very, very big and SCARY...the pic on the right above is of some random "cruisers" ...they're trying to drink themselves into forgetting about how much their little music-box cage with a "deck" cost!
Seattle looked beautiful in the sun...and the mountain was even out! We listened to the Eagles on the way home...it was little consolation.
