I heard the most wonderful Christmas story the other day complete with a miracle at the end. But this wasn't just a story - it really happened. I can't tell you the story because it's not mine to share - but what I can share with you is what I did after that ...I made reindeer aprons - which have nothing whatsoever to do with the story but it was the only thing I could think of doing...and I felt the need to do something because the story was so moving - it made me think of all the things in my life that I'm grateful for...
Miss Virginia, my body double, proudly models the dish-towel apron - made for a 4 year old little girl, the "star" of the story. I think she'll like it, even if it's a bit big on her. I also made one for her brother - he's a bit older but I have a hunch he won't mind masquerading as Rudolph while making Christmas cookies.
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!
Ten days till Christmas and counting!! It's not too late - Get into the spirit...before you become one!
