Okay, it's not new but it's now more colorful! I've wanted to give my kitchen chandelier a bit of a face lift for a while now - this is what it looked like before:
It's stainless steel with white glass shades...and I was thinking it needed a tune-up...so I changed the "candle covers." They were white - as seen in exhibit A, to your left. Simple, clean and not even worth the mention.
Scrap book papers are so incredible - they can look like suede, like the red paper I chose, or how about that green paper - cool, no? I couldn't decide in the store so I bought them both - set me back two bucks! I finally decided on the red - one sheet of red paper did all 6 of my candle covers. Double-sided tape made them easy to secure...and then, back on the light, they look like this:
What a difference a little punch of color makes! I notice it straight away when I walk into my kitchen...the mister has yet to notice - but then, it's only been FOUR DAYS! That's a candle ring of fake berries around the chandelier - you know - festive like for T-Day! Now that I know how EASY it is to change colors I can see I'll be spending more time in the scrap-book/paper store! One more box ticked off on my list!
