This little piggy was glad I didn't stay home...this little piggy had real Tex-Mex food at Mama Ninfa's and Pappa's BBQ Roast Beast...this little piggy needed none...then this little piggy went Wee-wee-wee all the way home! Quilt Market is really two different shows...the market, which is what I attended, is relatively small compared to Festival...there were between 3,000 and 4,000 people at Market...Festival draws in about 60,000!! Market is wholesale and open only to the trade but Festival is retail and open to anyone with a VISA card! Here's a few more shots for you to drool over...
Random booths - in the 3rd pic from left notice the quilt in the corner...light background and pieced with squares on point...I just loved that! The Aussie pops up again in the English Piecing booth but only because the people in that booth were eating Arnott's Original Chocolate Coated Biscuits (Tim Tam Cookies)...another Aussie friend introduced me to the Tim Tam Slam and the Aussie in the picture taught me how to perfect it...if you've not tried a Tim Tam Slam then get a move on and do so!
The Quilted Crow booth was great - they were from Lenah Valley in Tasmania and we loved everything they did... the second pic I snapped because of the circle runner in the center - for all of my circle-quilt-fiends/friends...a painted fabric dress - darling, no? And a picture of one of my favorite booths - antique jewelry and fabric - I spent a good deal of time here and bought nothing...so sad...but I couldn't decide!
This darling little dress quilt reminded me of my blog-friend at Freda's Hive...if you've seen her work I know you'll agree and if you haven't, head on over there and take a peek...she's unveiled her new Kettles In The Kitchen pattern today and it's adorable! The second pic is another shot of that great quilt...the 3rd pic is a picture of a ribbon booth...SO FUN!!! I decided to leave you with a picture of Baby Max...doing what he does best...sucking his thumb and looking adorable.
