A momentous day ...my dad turned 78 today and he is, without question, the BEST DAD on the planet and has been for my entire life...he drove us to school, to the ortho, the dentist, did the grocery shopping, laundry, took care of the yard, made us go camping, taught us to pray, took us to church, never swore at us, shared his Hershey Bars, fixed broken toys, taught us to drive, tried to tell us how to vote, and introduced us to 24-hour Golf TV...and that was just one day! Kidding, he taught us all heaps of great and useful stuff...most of which I can't remember but when something goes wrong I know I can call my dad and he'll remember and tell me how to fix it. Oh, he also taught us that there is only ONE REAL CAR - and that would be a Chevy...and Heaven help you if you drove up in a Ford! Dad, I love you and miss you and wish we could have been there for your big bash...as you know the boy came down with some weird ailment but he is now, thankfully, on the mend, or else we would have been there.
Sorry about the pic dad, it was the only one I could find - all of my good pics are on my DEAD computer!
Isn't he handsome? I get my good looks from my dad, not his blue eyes though, my eyes are brown, probably because I'm full of you-know-what.
Anyway, Happy Birthday - I hope the next 78 will be just as wonderful!
