I have wanted one of these forEVER! I don't remember where I first saw this - but it was a while ago - and I know there is a pattern out there for it but really, it's so easy, who needs a pattern? I cut out my carrot from muslin, then did the "sew and flip" method for attaching the strips of fabric - which I didn't precut (yes, some are crooked but have you ever seen a perfectly straight carrot?) and I didn't iron as I went either - ironing is SO overrated... so because I didn't waste time on the "particulars" I was able to make this in about 30 minutes - no kidding - and that included digging in my stash! Well, the top anyway - the binding took an hour! But how stinkin' cute is it?!?
It's the perfect way to display my sugared eggs - which are all about 20 years old so don't be laughing at those fake flowers on top - that was all I could find back then!
Tickled orange - that's how happy I am with my little creation...now I'm ready for Easter!
