My Christmas Cottage blocks are almost finished - they'll be in the mail tomorrow and didn't they turn out cute?! Freda's Hive is hosting this quilt block exchange and I have had such a great time making these blocks - so much so that I think a halloween cottage quilt is next up on the drawing board!
Different Grannies are in the windows - one is baking, one is sewing, one is reading and one is even working on a quilt! You can see the Christmas tree through the other window...I wish I lived in a Christmas cottage...oh wait, I do! And those Grannies all bear a striking resemblance to ME! The mister says I've been a Grandma ever since he's known me, he's probably right about that, I love doing Grandma things...baking, quilting, carrying tissue and Juicy Fruit gum in my purse, wearing aprons and fluffy slippers...yep, I'm a Grandma alright!
That would make the mister a Grandpa...actually it makes him one cranky sonofawitch - but we'll leave his mother out of this...Of course, he IS a grandpa and I'm hoping that the mister will soften a bit in his new role ...that maybe he'll mellow and relax so he can enjoy his grandson, the beautiful Baby Max...but I'm sure I'll have a better chance of winning the lottery tonight! In the meantime, feast your eyes on Baby Max while I finish up my blocks (with my self-portrait in each window) and get them off to Freda!
