I guess I would say I had a "productive" day...I managed to make 20 of these:
They are for my new halloween quilt - I can hardly stand it - it's just going to be so cute! One can never have too many halloween quilts....feel free to quote me on that...there is just nothing better than wrapping up in a quilt, after a night of trick-or-treating, eating the kids candy! I know, I know, halloween is still months away but I'm already in that mind-set...a halloween party is in the works for the little girls on my street...they are so excited!
We've already had one "planning" meeting and a second one is set for next week...they made these little treat bags and the halloween beads last time we met, cute, no? A package of orange and black FIMO arrived in the mail today so another project will be underway soon!
Speaking of projects...I picked up this box of fabric at a garage sale last Friday...it's filled with old red and green fabrics and Christmas prints - some very cute, some not so cute. I'm thinking a vintage Christmas quilt is going to be next up after the halloween one is done...
And this is what else I did today...I baked...this was the first attempt at what is sure to be a prize-winning recipe - Ha! It didn't work at all! Looked bad, tasted horrible and the texture was something akin to vomit. I just hate baking disasters...$12 down the drain! But the good news is I think I know what I did wrong - so my second attempt should be better...I have plenty of time to get this one "nailed down" which is good because it's never a quick process but it's always a fun one! Have I mentioned that I've never won anything except some hotpads and a few blenders?!! I'm due I tell you...DUE!
