Okay, okay, I'll show you the cave (the closet under the stairs that has no magical personage living in it, unlike the one on #13 Privet Drive.) I LOVE the new cave...I can actually walk inside and do a pirouette! First, here is a picture of the old cave, somewhat cleaned up:
The cave has the access to our crawl space under the house...everything on the floor has to be pulled out, the rug pulled back and then there is a door in the floor that lifts up, leading to stairs down to the REAL cave. One day, when I win the lottery, I'm going to have some really, cute, buff-workmen come and tear all of this out and build a wonderful staircase down to a lower level...where I'll have oodles and oodles of storage and a media room and a spa and a bowling alley...now that would be really living! But in the meantime, this is the new cave:
Isn't it great?!?! The mister put up the shelving...and managed to do so without a trip to the E.R. - I believe that's a first! Now I have all my canned goods in one place and I can see them! Cleaning the cave led to cleaning the pantry...and cleaning the pantry led to ironing the napkins - yes, weird how that one worked! So mom, if you're coming to visit you'd better make it soon because you know this won't last!
Cloth napkins...what's not to love? I have dozens and dozens of them ...and when I make something special for dinner, something more than say fried bologna (one of the mister's very favorites - I have wear rubber gloves just to remove the bologna from the package because the texture of it makes me want to hurl and I would have to BE DEAD to eat it) then we use cloth napkins...so I'm always washing and ironing them...but it's one of those things that I don't mind doing...laundry therapy you might say. If you ever want to send me a gift...send me cloth napkins!
