This isn't really a recipe...it's not really edible, at least not in my book...but it IS the mister's favorite thing in the entire universe to eat. I've told you before that he likes bland....the blander the better...and this is just about as bland as it gets....
You need three things to make this - salt, canned tomatoes and elbow macaroni...and please don't even think about using a different kind of pasta, the mister would be horrified! He likes to say the elbows hold in the juice from the maters...like that's a selling point. I make this every Saturday for him...and I serve him a normal size portion...after wolfing it down he goes back for more...and more...and more...at some point the pasta stops being pasta and turns into FEED...and he just keeps eating it until it's gone, like a farm animal in a pen.
No other ingredients are allowed....I once tried to add green onions and pepper and some other veggies and it was like the Bolsheviks had stormed the kitchen because I'd never heard so much bol and shevik in all my life! If you truly want to eat bland...here's what you do: cook the macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Pour macaroni into a large bowl, add in one 28 oz. can of tomatoes - oh, you must squeeze the whole tomatoes IN THE CAN with your hands into little pieces...buying already diced tomatoes is not an option in this house...oh no...the mister prefers the hand-squeezed method...there's a couple of other things I'd like to give a good squeeze to, I can tell you that! Pour maters over macaroni, add salt to taste and serve. That's it. That's what my Saturdays are like...welcome to my pity party.
