Sometimes the first berries of the season aren't quite as sweet as they should be
...but glazing them in hot strawberry jam will make them as sweet as can be. Melt 1/2 cup strawberry jam in small saucepan. Dip rinsed and dried whole strawberries into the hot jam, turning the berry by the stem/leaves to coat evenly, and immediately put on a cold plate to set. When finished dipping all of the strawberries, place plate in refrigerator for 10 minutes. Serve cold. 1/2 cup of jam will dip about 2 dozen big berries.
These berries are so shiny and pretty and the heat from the jam pulls out the natural sugar in the berry...making them irresistible!
