My dear friend in Sacramento sent me this in an email:
"Hey, you nut-- that olive spread is called Tapenade in France, and something else in Italy, I forget what. Anyway, it's heavenly, huh? Go on line and look for other tapenade recipes-- yum!"
Duh. I knew that. And of course she's right - there are recipes up the wazooo on-line....but when the waitress said, "Enjoy the olive spread and the baked garlic," I thought to myself...olive spread? Hmmmm, never had that before! Again....duh. Of course I've had Tapenade...but my pea-brain didn't make the connection from Tapenade to Olive Spread...like I said before, I'm just a little mountain girl...trying to live and learn and sometimes it's easier than others!
