Every store, or so it seems, is already decorated for Valentine's Day....so not one to let the dust sit (for more than a few weeks!) I dug out my Valentine decorations today. I have a few boxes of things - mainly Valentine card making supplies so I'll let them stay boxed for another week or so....but this I had to put out....my Valentine quilt ...
I made this few years back - I'd tell you exactly but I failed to put a label on this quilt....it was a group project with my quilt group. I don't remember how many of us made this quilt - but we swapped fabrics and cut and sewed until I thought my arms would fall off...it's not exactly a quick quilt either, it's the Bullseye pattern - just with hearts - and I only know of one person who has ever made more than one bullseye quilt - my friend Mari - and she churns them out like water and then....gasp....gives them away! She is generous to a fault with her quilts. Maybe in my next life I'll be like her! I have given away many quilts but never a bullseye!!! The batting is Warm and Natural so it's heavy and the backing is flannel - perfect for curling up in...with a piece of chocolate.
