Before they're gone - which won't be long - freeze some Ranier or Bing cherries for that "fresh" cherry taste all winter long...it's super easy if you have a cherry pitter...if not, you can pick up one of these handy little gadgets at any kitchen store - great for pitting olives, too.
And if you do this soon you'll be able to buy them for a decent price - full of flavor and not be stuck with those tasteless things when you want to make Pork Roast With Cherry Chutney and Cider Glaze or Cherry Bomb Pork Sandwiches with Cherry BBQ Sauce - you never know when the urge for one of these great pork recipes will hit you - so be prepared!
Lay cherries on a flat rimmed baking sheet or in a 9x13-inch pan. Put in freezer, uncovered, until frozen, about 4 hours, then put into freezer bags. These will keep for about 6 months - but I'm sure you'll use them before then!

Stumble It!
Well, that's so good to know...whoever would have thunk? I've never heard of anything but bottled cherries! :)
